In 1956, the Aston martin DBR1 was built for the world sportscar championship. It was on the track of 24 hours of Le Mans where the DBR1 have its most famous victory. In the 50s the car won six world sportscar championships and built a record until it was surpassed by the Ferrari 250TR. As per the telegraph only five such cars were made. Bloomberg called the DBR1 as the ‘most important Aston martin ever made’. Jaguar XK120-C
Jaguar XK120-C, also called the C-type was a racing sports car built in the years from 1951 to 1953. With a relatively lightweight tubular framework, the car had an aerodynamic body that was developed by RJ knight, Heynes and Malcolm Sayer. 53 of such models were built, out of which 43 were sold out to the private owners. This makes it the rarest jaguar in the world! The last jaguar was sold in Italy at an RM auction in 2015 for worth $13.2 million making it the most expensive jaguar to be sold at such a rate.
